Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about renting a garage from us. Can't find your answer? Just get in touch.
You can store vehicles, household items, tools, equipment, stock, and most other personal or business belongings. We don't allow hazardous materials, illegal items, or anything flammable beyond what you'd normally keep in a domestic garage (e.g. a small amount of fuel for a lawnmower is fine).
Most of our garages are approximately 8ft × 16ft (2.4m × 4.9m) with a door height of around 7ft (2.1m). Some units are larger — check the individual listing for exact measurements.
Yes. Once you have your keys, you can access your garage any time, day or night. We just ask that you're considerate of nearby residents if visiting late at night.
All our garages have solid doors with secure locking points. Many sites also have gated access or are in quiet, tucked-away locations. We recommend using a good-quality padlock or disc lock for added peace of mind.
We ask for a minimum of one month. After that, you're free to continue on a rolling monthly basis. We're flexible — just give us reasonable notice when you want to leave.
Light workshop use is generally fine — weekend projects, car maintenance, that sort of thing. If you're planning anything more intensive (regular power tool use, spray painting, etc.), please chat with us first so we can find you the right unit.
We strongly recommend it. Your belongings are your responsibility, and most home insurance policies don't automatically cover items stored away from your home. Specialist garage storage insurance is available from around £5/month.
We ask for one calendar month's notice. Just drop us a call or email, clear out the garage, return the keys, and that's it. No penalties, no fuss.
Yes — we require one month's rent as a refundable deposit, paid upfront alongside your first month's rent. You'll get it back when you leave, provided the garage is returned in good condition...
No. Other than the one-off refundable deposit (one month's rent), the monthly price you see is what you pay. No admin fees, no service charges, no hidden extras. If a unit has electric supply, there may be a small additional charge for usage — but we'll always tell you upfront.
Our prices are inclusive — what you see is what you pay. We're a small business and currently below the VAT threshold.
A standard car will fit in most of our garages with room to spare. Larger vehicles like vans may fit in our deeper or wider units — check the dimensions on the listing or ask us and we'll measure up for you.
You provide your own padlock or lock, and you're responsible for keeping it secure. We maintain the garage structure, door, and any site-level security (gates, fencing). If you need advice on the best lock to use, just ask.
